Meggie was raised by song. Her mother is a music teacher and her father an opera singer. She spent her early days under the piano in the living room listening to and imitating the sounds she heard all around her.
By the age of four she had joined her first choir. By the age of eighteen she was studying Musical Theater in Munich, Germany at the Bavarian Academy for Music and Theatre (http://www.theaterakademie.de/de/). After completing her Bachelors, her thirst for more knowledge lead her to Montreal, Canada, where she studied to become a coloratura soprano.
She has studied under Professor Donald George (http://www.donaldgeorge.de/) and Lucile Evans.
Along the way she began teaching and recognized that she was able to pass on all this information she had learnt from a young age to people who yearn to sing. She believes that we all can sing if we are given the right encouragement and loves helping people of all ages free up their voices. Seeing the joy people feel when they begin trusting their own voice and start letting it out is what makes teaching so satisfying to her.
