After being accepted to the Berklee College of Music class of 2014 for guitar, I can say that without David's knowledge of music and ability to teach, this dream would not have been possible. David is a natural teacher and knows how to advance a student without overloading him or, in a case that has become prevalent in music education, diminish the student's interest in the music itself. The learning environment he creates is always professional and never feels sterile or overbearing. David is a gifted musician himself and is sure to inspire students at all skill levels. I cannot recommend him enough.

Each year New Orleans' magazine, Gambit, picks 40 New Orleanians under the age of 40 to honor and pay homage to those that make the city a better place through the arts, business, charities, and the like. We are proud to announce that New Orleans Music Lessons' voice teacher, Dody Nolan, has been awarded such an honor this year.
When Dody Nolan's first-grade choir teacher prompted the class for a volunteer to sing a song, she probably didn't expect a 6-year-old to rattle off a full song from a musical. "I sang 'Castle on a Cloud' from Les Miserables," Nolan says. [...] She also performs as a Victory Belle at the National World War II Museum and at Cafe Giovanni, as well as cantoring at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Prompt Succor, Divine Mercy Catholic Church and St. Louis Cathedral. Last summer, Nolan spent two weeks at SpringboardNYC, a highly selective program sponsored by the American Theatre Wing. more...
